Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival in Prague. Check-in hotel.
Day 2 "Welcome in Dresden" tour, Germany. You will be
transferred by coach to the Saxon Capital of Germany.
During this tour you will visit "Zwinger" Art Gallery where you
can
admire "Sixtin Madonna", the famous picture by Raffael, as well
as many notable works by the Old
Masters of centuries 14--17 (Rubens, Rembrandt, Poussin etc.). After
visiting the Art Gallery, we will take a walk
in the historical center. During your trip to Dresden, you will get some time
to visit also Dresden Castle, State Collection of Natural History , Museum
of Ethnology etc. Return to Prague.
Day 3 "Welcome in Karlovy Vary" tour.
After you have breakfast, our bus takes you through the picturesque
West Bohemian countryside to Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) which situated in a
beautiful
wooded valley. First you visit the glass exhibition at Moser factory and
then we visit the world
famous spa town, known especially for its 12 thermal springs and both
historical and modern
colonnades. In addition to the curative waters you can also try the delicious
local wafers and
traditional Becher liqueur produced from herbs.
Day 4. Prague -- Vienna by private bus.On the way to Vienna, we will show you the beautiful countryside of
South Bohemia. In the afternoon, we invite you for Vienna Grand City Tour.
We drive you
around Vienna's Ringstrasse, a leafy boulevard around the heart of the
city and the
location of many impressive buildings, for example the State Opera
House, the Hofburg
(Imperial Palace), the Museums of Fine Arts and Natural History, the
Parliament , the
Burgtheater, the City Hall and the University. Our guide will show you the
most interesting and famous
places of Vienna.
Day 5
Half day tour in Vienna Woods (optional) . A half-day excursion which
shows you the most beautiful sights of the southern part of the Vienna
Woods. Passing the
Roman City of Baden which is famous for its thermal springs, we drive
through the romantic
valley Helenental to the former Mayerling hunting lodge, the place of a
murder-suicice where Crown
Prince Rudolph with
Baronesse Vetsera died tragically in 1889. At the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz (1133) you
visit the medieval cloister which houses the remains of the last
Babenberger. Then we
arrive at the Seegrotte .After a boat ride on the largest subterranean lake
in Europe you leave
the Vienna Woods and return to Vienna.
Day 6
Vienna -- Budapest by bus.
After breakfast, we invite you to the Schonbrunn Palace at the outskirts
of Vienna, then
we depart to Budapest Arrival and check in hotel. At the second part of
the day, we invite
you for Budapest Grand City Tour. You will see the impressive neo-gotic
house of the Parliament, you cross the Danube on the Margaret-bridge (Margaret island) and drive
to the Royal castle on
the Buda side, where you visit the picture-perfect Fishermens' bastion and the Matthias
church. After the
Citadel you cross Elisabet -bridge and drive the City-park towards Heroes'
sqare.
Day 7
Half day optional tour in Szentendre, the picturesque artist village. We welcome you in small, but very
famous baroque city at the gate of
the Danube Bend, at the meeting place of the river Danube and the Pilis
Hills, in a
beautiful natural setting. You enjoy the special atmosphere of this
village. We also
stop at the unique Marzipan Confectionery Museum. This tour includes the entrance tickets.
Day 8
Back to Prague. On the way from Budapest, we will stop in Bratislava,
Slovakia's capital,
where you will have some free time for sight seeing tour and lunch.
Day 9
Tour of Historical Prague. After breakfast , we invite you to historical
center of Prague. You will
see Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Monastery and Golden
Lane. A pleasant
stroll through romantic Nerudova Lane will lead you to Lesser Town with
its famous and marvelous palaces and medieval Charles Bridge We'll walk
together through the bridge to the Old Town
Square surrounded by the Old Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock, Tyn
and St. Nicholas
Churches. From the Old Town Square, we continue our tour to Wenceslas Square
with St. Wenceslas'
statue .We finish our tour at the National Museum, in the heart of Prague.
Day 10
After breakfast end of your Central Europe tour. (Please advise if you
need airport transfer)
